This Technical Sheet contains all the information needed to ensure optimal installation and smooth performance. If for any reason these specifications cannot be met, please contact Quentin Steffen well in advance.

What The Funk has all the necessary equipment:

  • Complete sound system (PA system)
  • Mixing console Allen & Heath SQ6 + 2 stage boxes DX168
  • All microphones (29 channels)
  • All microphone stands
  • In-Ear Monitors (11 IEM mixes)
  • Complete cabling (XLR, RJ45, etc.)
  • Stage lighting
  • Sound engineer with the band

This technical sheet is specifically for performances in venues that provide their own sound system. The band can also provide all equipment if needed.

Technical Requirements

Stage & Installation

  • Stage space: 6m x 3m minimum (ideally 8m x 6m)
  • Ceiling height: Minimum 3m recommended
  • Floor: Stable and level for the drums
  • Patch: Someone must be available to patch the lines
  • Console: Allen & Heath SQ6 + 2 stage boxes DX168 (provided by the band)
  • Cabling: Provide RJ45 cabling between FOH and stage (cat5e minimum)
  • FOH-stage distance: Maximum 30m for RJ45 cable

Sound System (PA System)

This sheet is for venues providing the PA

  • PA System: Adapted to venue capacity
  • Coverage: Stereo with recommended subwoofers
  • Minimum SPL: 95-100 dB @ FOH depending on venue
  • Music type: Funk/Soul/Disco (significant dynamics)
  • Sound technician: A qualified person must be present on the venue side
  • FOH position: Centered in the venue with clear stage view

The band has its own sound system for other configurations

  • In-Ear Monitors: Provided by the band (11 IEM mixes)
  • IEM Mix: Managed via Allen & Heath SQ6 console
  • Stage monitors: Not needed (100% IEM)
