How much does a What The Funk concert cost?
The What The Funk alone rate is 3 900 € 3 000 € −900 € excl. VAT for a 2h concert with 10 musicians, self-sufficient in sound and lighting. The WTF + DJ package at 4 550 € 3 500 € −1 050 € excl. VAT (instead of 4 000€) adds a DJ Prestige Sound before and after the live to extend the evening until 4am. The premium What The Funk + DJ package at 4 550 € 3 500 € −1 050 € excl. VAT adds a live saxophonist for the cocktail or alongside the band.
How many musicians make up the band?
The What The Funk band is made up of 10 professional musicians: 2 lead singers (Pierre-Emanuel and Marylène), a brass section (saxophone, trumpet, trombone), a rhythm section (drums, bass, percussion), guitar and keyboards. This complete line-up faithfully recreates the energy of the funk, soul, disco and Motown classics — from James Brown to Bruno Mars.
What repertoire does What The Funk play?
The repertoire covers the great funk, soul and disco classics: Michael Jackson (Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, Thriller, Bad, Smooth Criminal), Jackson 5, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, Prince, Chic, Bruno Mars (Treasure, Uptown Funk), Mark Ronson, Martin Solveig… More than 40 tracks in the repertoire, adaptable to your event (wedding, gala, private party, corporate event).
Is the band self-sufficient in sound and lighting?
Yes, What The Funk is fully self-sufficient. The band arrives with its complete sound system (front-of-house + monitors), its stage lighting, and its own sound engineer. You have nothing to provide technically. See our tech rider for installation details and power supply requirements.
Can you combine WTF with a DJ to extend the evening?
Absolutely, it's our most popular package. The DJ Prestige Sound starts the evening (cocktail, dinner), the What The Funk live band takes over for a 2h concert, then the DJ takes the reins again until 4am. The transitions are worked out in advance for a smooth flow. The WTF + DJ package at 4 550 € 3 500 € −1 050 € excl. VAT (instead of 4 000€) includes the evening sound and the collaborative playlist.
How long does the concert last?
The standard show lasts 2 hours, usually split into 2 sets of 45 minutes separated by a 20-30 minute break, or a single 2h set depending on the flow of your event. We set the timing with you during the preparation meeting so that it fits perfectly into your evening (placement after dinner, opening dance, cocktail set, etc.).
What stage space is required?
To accommodate the 10 musicians in good conditions, we recommend a stage of at least 6m x 4m (ideally 8m x 5m). If your venue has no stage, we can play on the floor on an equivalent clear surface. All the details (electrical power, access, dressing rooms) are specified in our tech rider.
Does the band travel everywhere in Belgium?
Yes, What The Funk travels throughout Belgium (Brussels, Wallonia, Flanders) and to Luxembourg. Travel is free within a 50 km radius of Brussels. Beyond that, travel costs of 0.55€/km apply, as well as accommodation if the event ends late. We regularly perform in Knokke, Liège, Namur, Antwerp, Ghent and the Grand Duchy.
