How much does a DJ cost for a wedding in Belgium?
Rates vary with experience and the services included. In 2026, expect 400-910 € 700 € −210 € for a beginner DJ, 800-1 560 € 1 200 € −360 € for a mid-range professional DJ, and 1200-2 340 € 1 800 € −540 € for a high-end DJ with premium sound and lighting. At Prestige Sound, our Evening DJ (6h) package is 1 040 € 800 € −240 € excl. VAT for the DJ service (music preparation included); sound & lighting optional, packs from 330 € 250 € −80 € excl. VAT.
What does a Prestige Sound price include?
Our rates include: the professional DJ for the entire agreed duration, full sound (2x2000W), ambient lighting (LED, uplighters), 2 wireless microphones, the personalised music preparation beforehand, a preparation video call, set-up and teardown of the equipment. No hidden fees.
Are there extra travel costs?
For events within 50 km of Brussels, travel is included. Beyond that, we charge 0.55€/km. We operate across Belgium: Brussels, Wallonia, Flanders and even Luxembourg.
How does payment work?
A 30% deposit is requested on booking to secure your date. The balance is due no later than 7 days before the event. We accept bank transfers and offer payment facilities on request.
Are the rates excl. or incl. VAT?
Our rates are shown excl. VAT. Artistic services (DJ, musicians, ceremony) are subject to 6% VAT. The rental of technical equipment (sound, lighting) is subject to 21% VAT. Your quote will clearly detail the amounts excl. and incl. VAT.
Booking & Preparation

When should you book your wedding DJ?
Ideally 12 to 18 months before your wedding, especially for popular dates (May to September, Saturdays). The best DJs are often fully booked a year ahead. For weekday or off-season events, 6 months is usually enough.
How does the music preparation work?
After booking, we schedule a preparation video call (30 min) to discuss your musical tastes, the flow of the evening and the key moments. You then receive a detailed music questionnaire to refine your wishes. You can send us your wish playlist and your “blacklist” (tracks to avoid).
Can we change our playlist after booking?
Absolutely! Your playlist can evolve up to 2 weeks before the event. We adapt continuously. The DJ remains in charge of the live mix but respects 100% of your musical choices.
Can we meet the DJ before booking?
Yes, it's even recommended! We offer a first free 15-minute discovery video call to get to know each other, discuss your project and answer your questions. The chemistry between you and your DJ is essential.
What is your cancellation policy?
If cancelled more than 6 months before the event, the deposit is refunded at 50%. Between 3 and 6 months, the deposit is non-refundable but transferable to another date. Less than 3 months, the deposit is retained. Everything is detailed in our contract.

What time does the DJ arrive for set-up?
Our team arrives at least 2 hours before the start of the performance for equipment set-up, sound and light tests, and coordination with the venue manager. For large events or complex set-ups (castles, marquees), we allow 3 hours.
Does the DJ handle mic announcements (entrances, speeches, games)?
Yes! The DJ handles the mic announcements for the couple's entrance, the speeches, the bouquet toss, the wedding cake, the first dance and any entertainment. A detailed schedule is prepared with you in advance.
How does the DJ handle live requests from guests?
Our DJ listens to guests' requests while respecting your playlist and the desired mood. If a requested track is on your “blacklist”, it will be politely declined. The DJ is trained to keep control of the dance floor.
What happens in case of a technical failure?
We always carry backup gear: spare speaker, doubled cabling, secondary mixer. In 15 years and 500+ events, we have never had an interruption. In addition, our professional liability insurance covers any incident.
Does the DJ stay if the party runs late?
Of course! If your guests don't want to stop, we can extend the performance. The rate for extra hours is agreed in advance in the contract (usually 130 € 100 € −30 € excl. VAT/hour). Just let the DJ know on site.

What is the DJ + Saxophonist package?
Our signature package: a professional saxophonist improvises live over the DJ's mixes for 2 hours, creating a unique, sophisticated atmosphere. Ideal for the cocktail or the start of the evening. It's THE 2026 wedding trend in Belgium. Package from 1 950 € 1 500 € −450 € excl. VAT.
Do you offer musicians other than the saxophonist?
Yes! We also offer: violinist, flautist, percussionist, pianist for the ceremony, and our band What The Funk (10 funk/soul musicians). Each musician can be combined with the DJ as you wish.
What is the What The Funk band?
What The Funk is our 10-musician live act specialising in funk, soul and disco. Brass, vocals, guitar, bass, drums and DJ: 2 hours of an energetic show that guarantees a full dance floor. Rate: 3 900 € 3 000 € −900 € excl. VAT.
Do you offer karaoke entertainment?
Yes! Our karaoke entertainment has a catalogue of more than 40,000 tracks in French, English, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and more. The karaoke option is 330 € 250 € −80 € excl. VAT in addition to any DJ service.
Can you provide sound for our secular ceremony?
Absolutely. We provide sound for your secular ceremony with a wireless mic for the vows, an audio system for background music and full technical management. With or without a pianist/live musician. The packages and their « from » prices are on the secular ceremony page.

In which cities do you operate in Belgium?

Do you also operate in France and Luxembourg?
Yes, we regularly operate in northern France (Lille, Valenciennes, Maubeuge) and in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Travel costs are calculated based on the distance from Brussels.
Do you know the reception venues in my region?
With 500+ events across Belgium, we have played at the vast majority of reception venues. Castles, estates, hotels, restaurants, function rooms: we know the technical constraints of each location (electrical power, equipment access, acoustics).
Can you host an outdoor event (garden party, marquee)?
Yes, we have equipment suited to outdoor events, including a 6kW generator (200 € 150 € −50 € excl. VAT) if needed. We adapt the sound and lighting to the open space. We are used to garden parties, marquee weddings and open-air events.

What kind of sound equipment do you use?
We use high-end professional equipment: a 2x2000W sound system (active QSC/RCF speakers), a digital mixer, a subwoofer for the low frequencies and 2 Sennheiser wireless microphones. The equipment is matched to the size of your venue (from 50 to 500 people).
Is lighting included in the DJ service?
Lighting is optional: Basic lighting (2 LED bars) at 330 € 250 € −80 € excl. VAT, or the Full Lighting Pack at 650 € 500 € −150 € excl. VAT (architectural uplighters, smoke machine, DMX controller) and the Light Show with a dedicated technician at 980 € 750 € −230 € excl. VAT.
Do you need a special power supply?
A standard 16A (230V) socket is enough for most of our set-ups. For outdoor events or venues without power access, we have a professional 6kW generator (200 € 150 € −50 € excl. VAT). We always check the available power before each event.
What happens if the venue is very large or very small?
We adapt our equipment to each location. Small room (50 people): compact system without a subwoofer. Medium room (100-200 people): standard configuration. Large room or marquee (300+ people): reinforced system with extra speakers. A technical site visit is possible on request.

What music genres do you offer?
Our library covers every style: pop, rock, electro, funk, disco, soul, RnB, hip-hop, French and international hits, oriental music, afro, latino, jazz, swing, 80s/90s and current chart-toppers. We adapt 100% to your tastes and those of your guests.
Can you create a custom mix for our first dance?
Absolutely! We create bespoke mixes for your key moments: the couple's entrance, the first dance, the opening of the ball. Mashups, special transitions, medleys: anything is possible. Service at 130 € 100 € −30 € excl. VAT per custom mix.
Do you accept live music requests from guests?
Yes, the DJ welcomes guests' requests while keeping control of the mood and respecting your playlist. Tracks on your “blacklist” will be politely declined. It's the balance between your wishes and the energy of the dance floor.

Do you offer services for companies?
Yes! We host corporate events: company parties, team building, product launches, galas, end-of-year parties, seminars and conventions. We are used to working with event agencies and communication departments.
Can you adapt the musical atmosphere to our brand?
Absolutely. For every corporate event, we create a bespoke music programme that reflects your brand. Whether lounge chic, jazz, electro, international pop or festive: the DJ adapts to your brief. We can also integrate your jingles and brand music.
Do you issue invoices with VAT?
Yes, Prestige Sound is a non-profit registered in Belgium. We issue compliant invoices with detailed VAT (6% artistic services, 21% technical equipment). Payment by bank transfer with standard 30-day terms.
Can you manage all the entertainment for a corporate evening?
Yes, as an event agency, we can take care of all the entertainment: DJ, live musicians, photo booth, stage lighting, karaoke, interactive entertainment and even the technical coordination with the venue and suppliers.
